H&M Announces Next Designer Collaboration With Isabel Marant

After what seemed like a long period of silence on the designer collaboration front following the Maison Martin Margiela
H&M's next designer collaboration will be with French designer Isabel Marant
collection, H&M just released news that their next designer partnership is with French designer Isabel Marant. Every cool chick who knows her fashion and adores French insouciant style would know the name and the look of Isabel Marant — equal parts rocker, luxe boho, off duty and modern chic. The Isabel Marant label and designer is the epitome of modern French style.
Images of what will be part of the collection have yet to be released although according to the statement from H&M there will be clothes and accessories for women and teenagers and for the first time, the designer will be creating a men’s collection. Perhaps high on the question list of fans of Marant will be if H&M will recreate those much copied Isabel Marant wedge sneakers and the biker jackets with a casual worn-in look.
The Isabel Marant for H&M collection is set for release worldwide and online on November 14, 2013. “I am flattered by this collaboration: H&M works with the best designers and this invitation is an exciting honor. I aim at creating something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which I think is very Parisian: you dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be mixed following one’s own instincts: my take on fashion is all about personality,” said  Marant in a statement from H&M.
In the video below you can watch the designer talk about fashion and what she will do for H&M.

I Love Isabel Marant collection and style. I Can't Wait!

Chanel Cruise Collection 2014

Yesterday Cara Delevingne, Stella Tennant andLindsey Wixson walked for Chanel, modelling their Cruise collection in Singapore to a 50s soundtrack by French sound designer par excellence, Michel Gaubert.

The show was held on a former nutmeg plantation and army barracks in Singapore’s Loewen Cluster on Dempsey Hill. The climate is as tropical – and Cruise appropriate - as they come.

Wherever Karl Lagerfeld shows – this small island state off mainland Asia included -  he draws an epic crowd: Dakota Fanning and Carine Roitfeld were just some of the attendees flown in straight from the Met Ball in New York for the occasion.

As you might expect from a Cruise collection, there were sporty elements– some models were even wielding cricket bats – but there was also softness to the silhouette reminiscent, of Gabrielle Chanel. A flash of electric blue eyeliner complimented the fresh, powdered palette.

The Cruise collection moved away from the tough, dark mood of autumn/winter 2013 – this is Chanel in the holiday spirit, after all – and there were sophisticated references to Southeast Asia’s rich past in the loose shapes, raffia dresses and super-luxe, classic Chanel details.

Karl has done it again.
